About Us

"Our purpose is to provide sound guidance and additional services to senior people needing assistance to remain living independently in their own home and for their families/carers who are faced with the difficulties in transitioning a person into an aged care facility. We have empathy, compassion and respect for the elderly and their families."

about us

Twin Ways was established by people who have not only had extensive relevant experience throughout their careers but have also been through every aspect of managing the affairs of aging loved ones through to placing them into residential aged care and ensuring the right level of service is constantly provided.
We know first hand how devastating it can be to see a loved one deteriorate in front of you. There’s real emotional distress in caring for someone who is upset and confused. Sometimes we even feel that our loved one isn’t really there anymore. It is one of the most stressful situations that we can find ourselves in. On top of the emotional journey is the added worry of managing financial issues, providing the proper care, understanding various Powers of Attorney and finding the most suitable accommodation or making adjustments to the existing property to help your family member to live independently as long as possible. We can help you to understand the labyrinth of the aged care rules and options.
We have a genuine commitment to helping older people and their families. We are here to help by providing guidance and assistance and to take the fear out of making the wrong decision. We can also help older people plan for their future without any immediate commitment to moving into aged care and provide guidance on how to live independently in your own home.
Whilst we specialise in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne, we can provide some services to people in other areas.
We offer an obligation free chat about our services and how we can help you with your specific needs.

our team

The Directors of Twin Ways, Jacqui and Kim Owen, have extensive career experience in both the corporate and government sectors and have built solid relationships with a vast spread of service providers and professionals. Their complete understanding and passion for aged care, however, was generated through personal experience with their mother being placed into a nursing home after many years of caring for her in her own home and assisting her to live independently for as long as possible. Both Jacqui and Kim have a genuine interest in helping people and taking the pain and worry out of the transition to aged care.
